The MMK dance collective questions masculinities. What happens when we get two men rolling, and with them, symbolically, an entire system?

The image of masculinity that dancer and choreographer Mark Christoph Klee brings with him is shaped by his parents' electrical business and by his coming out as a young man. This time he's not performing with his usual trio, but with Leon Franzke, who trained as a bricklayer after studying dance. Both are marked by close contact with tradespeople: rough claps on the shoulder, coarse jokes, and bodies shaped by hard labor.

Out of these two male biographies, their queer and trans* perspectives, and their experiences of fatherhood and relationships emerges a look at expected and lived masculinity. The performers confront their own privileges and how deeply patriarchal structures are rooted within themselves. A dance piece in search of fragility and multilayered male roles.
