After months of isolation, the collective is interested in the moment of re-discovery between performers and audience. They like to imagine that re-encounter as a first date.

The large-format line works of Jasiek Mischke become the set design for the performance and transform non-theater-spaces that are located in rural regions of Schleswig-Holstein into a temporary stage. It is a careful approach between the violinist Tonio Geugelin and the dancer Mark Christoph Klee, but also between the work of the collective and the audience outside the city. As with any first date, there is slightly edgy humor, cheesiness, and googly eyes.

The project is funded by the Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry for Education, Science and Culture.

In addition to the artistic work, Merle | Mischke | Klee develop exchange formats in order to specifically reach an audience in rural areas. This is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media in the NEUSTART KULTUR program, DIS-TANZEN aid program of the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
